SPOKANE, Wash.– Spokane police officers said the standoff between SWAT and a man in an apartment near Nelson and Wabash is over.

Officers said it started as a domestic violence call Friday afternoon.  It then escalated into a SWAT standoff. Police were told the man has access to a crossbow.

Investigators said a woman and kids were able to leave the apartment.

The man eventually came out of the apartment, too and officers said they were able to use less-lethal force on him. Investigators said he tried to drag the police K-9 inside. However, officers were able to take him into custody.
