Spokane Police arrest woman in connection to northeast Spokane murder investigation

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Police have arrested a woman in connection to a man’s body found at a northeast Spokane home early Thursday morning.  

Police confirmed 36-year-old Melissa Leeann Martin was booked into the Spokane County Jail on Friday and faces second-degree murder charges, one day after the body was found. 

Police responded to the home around 2:20 a.m. on Thursday, when they received a call about suspicious activity.

Though limited information was given, police said a man’s body was found and they are investigating it as a homicide. 

They have yet to release information about the person who died or how they died.
