Spokane Police arrest men they say crashed stolen car near Sanson and Nevada

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Police arrested two men on Friday night who they say robbed a car and prompted a crash that sent one driver to the hospital with critical injuries.
According to a release, police saw 19-year-old Nicholas Kelley driving the car, which was reported stolen, near Sanson and Nevada and attempted to pull him over.
Around that time, Kelley crashed into another car and police say he and the passenger, Devin Smith, got out and started running.
Police were able to detain Kelley and Smith and request medics for the driver of the other car, who was critically injured and taken to the hospital.
Both Kelley and Smith were treated for minor injuries at the hospital and booked for first degree robbery. Additionally, Kelley was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, attempting to elude a police vehicle, vehicular assault and felony hit and run.
Smith was also charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, police said.
