Spokane motorcyclist killed after collision on Idaho State Highway 53

HAUSER, Idaho — A Spokane motorcyclist was killed Thursday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on Idaho State Highway 53.

44-year-old Chad M. Bangs died Thursday after being ejected off his motorcycle when he bike collided with a Kia Forte vehicle on the highway shortly after 2:45 p.m. According to Idaho State Police, a female juvenile was stopped in the westbound turn late on Highway 53 and was turning southbound onto Pleasant View Road when she collided with Bangs’ Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Bangs was pronounced dead at the scene.

Next of kin has been notified and the investigation is ongoing.
