Spokane detectives investigating woman found dead on porch

SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane County Major Crimes Detectives are investigating after a woman was found dead on a back porch in Southwest Spokane County Thursday.

A man called 911 around 10:50 p.m. to report that his friend was drunk, passed out, and unresponsive. When the deputy arrived, he saw the man performing CPR on the woman on the back porch of the residence.

Multiple units performed life saving efforts but were unsuccessful, and the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no signs of trauma or violence that the deputies could see.

The investigation is ongoing.
