Spokane County Library District offers free tax help

SPOKANE, Wash. — Don’t let taxes stress you out this year. The Spokane County Library District is offering a free program to help you file on time.
The free AARP Tax Aide program helped more than 2,200 people file last year, according to the district. Trained volunteers will walk you through the steps you need to take to correctly file your taxes.
Now through April 14, you can get help at four county libraries: Argonne, Cheney, Moran Prairie, and Spokane Valley. At Argonne and Cheney libraries, appointments are needed and can be made through Washington Trust Bank by calling 509-353-4851.
Help is available on a first-come, first-served basis at Moran Prairie and Spokane Valley libraries.
Bring your 2019 tax-related documents, valid photo ID, and Social Security cards for yourself and all household members. Organizers also advise you bring your 2018 tax return for reference.
