Spokane Church For Sale, Price Reduced

SPOKANE — Selling a house isn’t an easy task in today’s market, but that isn’t stopping a Spokane church from putting up the â??for sale’ sign.

The Bethany Presbyterian Church is a 1950s-era sanctuary that is too big for the current congregation.

The church is going for $790,000, which is reduced from the original listing price of $875,000 when it went on the market a year ago.

Pastor Paul Rodkey has been with the church for 23 years and says the congregation came together and decided as a group to move out and rebuild completely.

One of the major factors in their decision was the construction of the North-South Freeway; the church is right in the path of where the freeway will be built.

Selkirk Real Estate is representing the sale of the church, which is at 301 south Freya in east Spokane.
