SPD standoff ends with suspect in custody
SPOKANE, Wash. — UPDATE: Spokane police have taken the suspect into custody. Empire Avenue has re-opened.

On Tuesday afternoon, authorities closed Empire Avenue from Lidgerwood to Addison.
Police, fire fighters and SWAT units responded to a house in the area.
According to police, 2 people exited the house, but one person, who remained inside, had refused to exit. Police have said that the person still inside is wanted.
SPD is on scene near 400 E. Empire. A wanted subject is inside a residence and refuses to give up. Traffic may be affected in the area.
