SPD: No active shooter situation at River Park Square mall

SPOKANE, Wash. — UPDATE: One man was taken into police custody after SPD responded to reports of a possible active shooter in downtown Spokane Friday night.
At 6:15 p.m. Friday, SPD received calls of an active shooter near the Apple Store downtown. Officers responded and quickly determined no shots had been fired. River Park Square Mall security provided a description of a person with a handgun which had been brandished.
Officers located and detained a person matching that description, 21-year-old Max D. Zidrashko, who was booked into the Spokane County Jail for carrying a dangerous weapon.
No one was injured during the incident.
Spokane Police asks that you be vigilant of your surroundings and report suspicious behavior.

One person tells kxly4 that during the incident shoppers were locked inside the Nordstrom store inside the mall.
