SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Police issued an emergency alert Thursday afternoon temporarily asking people living near E. Lacrosse and N. Morton St to stay inside.

The shelter-in-place order has since been lifted.

Police originally said there was a reported burglary in the area, but later corrected themselves saying it was a domestic violence situation. Initial reports indicated the suspect may have been armed.

Officers responded to the scene, removed everyone from the house and were able to willingly get the suspect out, as well. The suspect has not yet been identified, but is in police custody for a felony order violation.
