The Associated Press, the largest news gathering outlet in the world, has dropped the term illegal immigrant from its style guide.

From now on, they’re referred to as undocumented immigrants.

The company says it’s been a topic of debate for years and finally decided to change its style guide because the term illegal dehumanizes those it describes.

Yesterday’s Sound Off was about undocumented immigrants receiving in state tuition at Oregon universities.

And it had a lot of you sounding off, saying they should be called illegals.

So, we made this the topic of our sound off for today.
