Sober October: Coeur d’Alene kava bar raising money to support alcohol addiction recovery
COEUR d’ALENE, Idaho — You may have heard about ‘Dry January’, but what about ‘Sober October?’
Some people are using this month to cut back on alcohol or make a commitment to combat addiction.
In the fight against addiction, people can suffer from mental health issues.
That’s why Inland Kava Bar in Coeur d’Alene is raising money for Smart Recovery — an organization that supports the mental health of those recovering from alcohol addiction.
This Sober October, you can share Inland Kava Bar’s team page on the Sober October website and receive a free High Tide Drink!
You can also join the team individually or with a group of friends and collect donations online to help them reach their fundraising goal of $1,000.

Whoever gets the most donations will get a kava bowl for themselves and six guests.
Inland Kava Bar opened at the beginning of this year as a place to get ‘kava’ beverages — buzz without the booze.
The bar says its honored to participate and support the mental health of those in recover from alcohol addiction.
Inland Kava Bar is located at 1520 N Government Way (Unit A).
