Snow will taper off overnight, but there’s another round on the way – Kris
What we’re tracking
We are tracking two rounds of widespread snow: one is wrapping up in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene with another on the way for Friday night. Winter Weather Advisories and Winter Storm Watches have been issued for both systems.
Plan your Friday
I’ve already told my kids to plan on going to school on Friday, but check in here or watch Good Morning Northwest for a complete list of school closings. In Spokane, the snow will taper off long before the morning commute. That should give the road crews plenty of time to get the main roads plowed and treated. Temperatures on Friday will start out in the mid-20s and climb into the lower 30s. Expect a gray day with another round of snow arriving late Friday night.
Spokane and Coeur d’Alene forecast
By the time we’re done shoveling Friday evening, the next round of snow will be arriving. Right now, it looks like it will bring even heavier snow. 3 – 6″ of snow is possible in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene from late Friday night into Saturday afternoon. That snow isn’t going to to melt any time soon. Arctic air will arrive for next work week. However, the cold will not be coming along with more snow.
