Shovels up, blowers out! More snow and gusty winds to start off the work week
Old, compacted snow + fresh snow = extra dicey roads

SPOKANE, Wash. — Good morning! It is Monday, January 13.
Here’s the deal, we have fresh snow coming down on old snow. Old snow, that’s already compacted to the ground. This is making it extra dicey on the roadways. Please slow down and give yourself extra time for your morning commute.
A possible 1-3 inches today throughout the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene area, this is for the valley floor. Mountains could see much more.
Tomorrow, more snowfall is expected. Up to one inch possible in most spots, potentially up to two inches for areas higher in elevation.
Temperatures are cooling down! Today, we’ll have an afternoon high of 27 degrees. Tonight, we’ll get down to 11 degrees. Tomorrow, we will cool to the high teens in the afternoon. Tomorrow night, we’ll get very cold, down to the single digits.
Gusty conditions today! Up to 30 mph wind gusts this afternoon and up to 20 mph wind gusts tonight.
