Shots fired at police in 3 towns: 1 officer hurt

Multiple shots were fired Wednesday night at patrol cars and a police station in three Snohomish County cities. A sheriff’s office spokeswoman says when the gunfire stopped, one police officer had been injured and one person was in custody.

A Marysville police officer is reportedly injured. The sheriff’s office said it wasn’t immediately clear whether the injury was due to bullets or debris from shots. KOMO-TV reports that sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said one man was taken into custody late Wednesday night. He was injured and taken to a hospital. She didn’t know whether he had been shot.

Ireton says an unoccupied patrol car was shot at initially at the Granite Falls Police Department.   A few minutes later, shots were reported to have been fired at the Lake Stevens Police Department headquarters.  The sheriff’s office says no one was hurt in those two incidents.

Then there were reports of additional gunfire involving a law enforcement vehicle in the Marysville area.

Officers had been looking for a white pickup truck with a brown bed.
