Shock Swallowing Tough Loss

SPOKANE — Something happened on the way to a championship for the Spokane Shock. They got beat at home Monday night for the AF2 title.

It was a disappointing night for the Shock, who got their offense clicking late in the game.  The Shock were able to tie the game at the end of regulation, and marched down the field for the lead early in overtime. Tennessee Valley’s gamble paid off, though, as they went ahead on a two point conversion to end the game. The Shock were left wondering what might have been.

“I really don’t have any words, man,” Shock center Rico Ochoa said. “My hat goes off to the boys over there. Um, you know, we put our heart and soul into the season, and it’s a shame to see it, you know, end like this.

It’s going to take a long time to get over, and it’s going to be a long off season.
