Shining Star Senior Night: West Valley’s Matthew Allen
SPOKANE, Wash. – As summer gets closer, most of the focus in sports will focus on how we move forward, but for the high school senior spring athletes, it’s going to be hard to forget about their lost season.
We want to continue honoring those careers even though we may not find out what could have been. One Eagle at West Valley got a lot out of his football career, but missed out on his final season of lacrosse.
Matthew Allen: The leader behind center for West Valley over the last few seasons and a talented lacrosse player. He was heading into his fourth season before it was canceled. He is committed off the field as well, Allen is an honor’s student and also divides his time working for an apartment complex to save up money for college. He will be heading to Cheney next year to attend Eastern Washington, where he will study to be a physical therapist.
