Shining Star Senior Night: Cheney Blackhawks track and field
SPOKANE, Wash. — In Sunday’s version of Shining Star Senior Night, where we feature local spring athletes that found out they can’t compete in their final season, we’re shouting out all the seniors on the Cheney high school’s track and field team.
The boys head coach is Derek Slaughter, and the girls are coached by Emily Stralser.
Girls:
Izzy Gray, Kaitilin Teeters, Lexi VanHorne, Lexie Batchelor, Caelyn Foster, Mackenzie Huotari, Maddie Warren, Ryleigh Bowes, Sophia Van Wormer, Hunter Holsten and Abby Fillmore.

Brett Skipworth, Dylan Carruth, Jared Geschke, Kaiden Custer, Matthew Osborne, Parker Rogers, Shawn Allen, Vincent Terrile,
Boy’s coach coach Derek Slaughter says he’s going to miss the “soggy saturday mornings” and “getting off the turf” at Mt. Tahoma in May, (where the T&F state championships are hosted) with this amazing group of human beings.
