Sherman Baue Watts

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Sherman Baue Watts, 84, of Pinehurst, Idaho passed away August 31, 2022 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg.  He was born March 13, 1938 in Glasgow, Montana; Sherman was the son of Henry Clay and Sylvia Edna (Baue) Watts.

Sherman has lived in the Silver Valley for most of his life.  He attended the Kellogg High School.

Sherman was united in marriage to Lawanna Reed on November 24, 1956 at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.

Sherman first worked for the Bunker Hill Mining Company garage.  He then went to work for the City of Kellogg Sanitation Department for six years.  Sherman and Lawanna then owned and operated Watts Electric Appliance of Pinehurst for fifty-five years; and to this day the business remains in the family now operated by his daughter Sherri White and grandson Brock White.

Sherman was a very active and a long-time member of the American Lutheran Church of Kellogg- he served on the Church Council for many years and taught Adult Sunday School for twenty-eight years.  Sherman made hospital, nursing home and home visits to church members and his many friends of which he so enjoyed.

Sherman loved and enjoyed his family, visiting with friends, music and singing with the Mens’ group- The Troubadours; he also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, which he did until the age of eighty.

Sherman is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-five years Lawanna Watts of the family home of Pinehurst, Idaho; two daughters Sindi Cysewski (John) of Bothell, Washington; Sherri White (Jim) of Pinehurst, Idaho; a foster daughter and family Lan Ong (Stanley) of Laguna Beach, California; five grandchildren Seth Cysewski (Lou), Nerissa Croasdell (Ross), Brendan Cysewski (Emilly), Brock White (Cassie), and Tate White; seven great-grandchildren Ryken White, Talan White, Scarlett White, Everly White, Madison Cysewski, Sienna Croasdell and Aria Croasdell; one sister Sylvia Ann Watts of Bamako, Mali; and his special cat- Kit Kat.  Sherman was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at the American Lutheran Church of Kellogg with Rev. Alec Rivera officiating.  Interment will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery of Kellogg.  A reception/luncheon will be held in the Church Fellowship Hall following services.
