Shaquille O’Neal’s son picks UCLA
Shaquille O’Neal’s son, Shareef O’Neal, has decided to play for UCLA after decommitting from Arizona over the weekend.
The high school basketball star announced his decision on Instagram Tuesday night, sharing a photo of himself, his mother and his father wearing Bruins gear.
“I know my mom is glad I’m staying home,” he said in the post.

O’Neal decommitted from Arizona on Saturday, one day after ESPN reported that Wildcats head coach Sean Miller’s had been recorded on FBI wiretaps discussing paying a potential recruit for his commitment in 2016.
Miller did not coach the team in Saturday’s loss to Oregon and both he and Deandre Ayton, the player identified in ESPN’s report, denied any wrongdoing.
The younger O’Neal is a 6-foot-9 power forward who plays for Crossroads School in Santa Monica, California.
