Several cars stuck in massive tumbleweed pile on State Route 240

BENTON CO., Wash. — State Route 240 was closed the night of New Year’s Eve due to a pesky tumbleweed problem.
The Department of Transportation removed several cars trapped under a massive pile of tumbleweeds on State Route 240 New Year’s Eve.
Washington State Patrol said the road is currently blocked at mile post 10, and drivers should look for an alternate route.
