Senior Center Director Wants End To Racist Pamphlets

POST FALLS, ID — The director of a northern Idaho senior center says she doesn’t want anymore copies of “The David Duke Report” delivered to the facility.

Marie Fish says the pamphlets say “nasty things about our president because he’s not the same color we are.”

David Duke is a former Ku Klux Klan leader and one-time Louisiana state representative.

Post Falls Senior Center board member Bob Hughes says the center is a nonprofit and can’t be political.

Post Falls Police Chief Cliff Hayes says the anonymous delivery of the newsletters is not a crime because they’re being distributed to a regular literature drop-off area and it is protected by the First Amendment.

Fish says the center’s janitor has been throwing out the pamphlets.
