SEATTLE, WA — The Seattle Seahawks defeated the New York Jets, 23-6, to keep its postseason chances alive.

Seattle quarterback Geno Smith went 18-29 with two touchdowns against his former team.

Kenneth Walker III rushed for 133 yards, eliminating the Jets from playoff contention.

The Seahawks also forced three turnovers including interceptions from Mike Jackson and Quandre Diggs.

Seattle will host the Los Angeles Rams next week.

Game time is still to be determined.

The Seahawks need to win and hope the Green Bay Packers lose or tie against the Detroit lions to clinch a playoff spot.
