SCSO investigating threat made by Medical Lake student

MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. — The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a threat made by a Medical Lake High School student against the school.
According to Medical Lake Superintendent Tim Ames, a male student and a parent were asked to leave a school basketball game Thursday night.
The student later posted a threat online against the official and school sometime late Thursday night or early Friday morning. School officials were made aware of the threat early Friday and informed law enforcement who made a visit to the student’s home.
Principal Chris Spring sent out an email to students and their families Friday alerting them that a threat was made.

The Sheriff’s Office believes there was no validity to the threat.
No charges are expected to be filed against the student.
