Sandpoint police searching for cougar after possible sighting

SANDPOINT, Idaho — Sandpoint police received a report of a possible cougar sighting in the 900 block of Poplar near Division.

Fish and Game, as well as Sandpoint Police Department officers are scouring the area in an attempt to locate the cougar.

While the sighting isn’t confirmed, police are urging people to be cautious. If you do see a cougar, you are asked to contact police at 208-265-5525.
