Sandpoint man seriously injured in ATV crash

KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — The Kootenai County first responders rescued a Sandpoint man who crashed his ATV near Cascade Saddle, near Magee.
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office said Jeffrey S. Sater, 59, lost control of his ATV and rolled it on FSR 534 Sunday morning.
He was flown to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the KCSO.
The sheriff’s office said it doesn’t appear alcohol was a factor in the crash. Sater wasn’t wearing a helmet. The law enforcement agency reminded people to always wear a helmet while operating an ATV or similar vehicles.
