Public invited to 100th anniversary celebration of Camp Gifford on Deer Lake

DEER LAKE, Wash. — The Salvation Army is holding a big celebration at Camp Gifford on Deer Lake t0 celebrate its 100th anniversary!

The event is on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is free to attend.

The celebration includes inflatable rides, games, live music, pony rides, food, and many other family-friendly activities. There will also be a Centennial unveiling ceremony at 10:30 a.m. with special guest Senator Shelly Short, along with a helicopter flyover by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Department.

Here’s who will be performing at the event:

  • 12:30 pm: The Salvation Army Northwest Divisional Band
  • 1:30 pm: The Salvation Army Spokane Marshallese Ministries (Song, Dance, and Hula)
  • 2:30 pm: The Glorify Band
  • 3:30 pm: Gospel Mission Blues Band
  • 4:30 pm: Corey Yanks (Christian Hip Hop)

There will also be performances by the Gonzaga BombSquad Dance team, and Haka (Dance) team.
