Providence nurses, healthcare workers to announce strike plans on Friday

SPOKANE, Wash. — Nurses and healthcare workers at Sacred Heart and Holy Family will announce their plans to strike on Friday, the Washington State Nurses Association said.
The announcement comes after over a year of negotiations between Sacred Heart nurses and Providence.
The nurses have been unable to reach a contract with Providence for safe staffing levels, sick leave, competitive compensation and affordable access to health care.
