Rogers Teacher Cited For Indecent Exposure

POST FALLS — A Rogers High School teacher was cited for indecent exposure after he admitted to exposing himself to a woman in a Post Falls grocery store parking lot last month.

Daniel Rhoades, 31, admitted to police after he was contacted that he exposed himself to the woman as she was sitting in her car in the parking lot of the Super One Foods in Post Falls late in the evening on February 7th. The woman reported seeing the suspect drive away from the store in a blue Dodge Dakota.

She was also able to take down the SUV’s license plate number which police tracked back to Rhoades.

During subsequent interviews with investigators Rhoades admitted to exposing himself to the woman while standing near the entrance of the store. Rhoades then confessed this wasn’t the first time he had exposed himself in public but it was the first time someone had seen him do it.

Rhoades, who is a math teacher for freshmen and sophomores and is also an 8th grade wrestling coach at Shaw Middle School, was cited and released on a single misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure.

When reached for comment about the incident school officials were unaware of the Post Falls Police Department’s announcement of Rhoades’ citation. School officials said that Rhoades, who has taught math at Rogers since the fall of 2006, never reported his citation to school officials.

Once they were aware of the situation the district placed him on paid leave immediately.
