Robber Is On The Loose After Northside Hold-Up

SPOKANE — A man indicating he had a gun robbed a northside drug store early Wednesday morning.

Spokane county sheriff’s lieutenant Dave Regan said the man, dressed as woman, walked into the Walgreens on Division and Cascade around 3:30 a.m. and handed the clerk a note demanding Oxycontin.

The suspect told the employee he had a gun in his handbag. The clerk handed over the drugs and the man left without incident.

Walgreen employees say the man was wearing a purple velure coat, jeans, black wig and had on heavy make-up.

He has been described as 5’10, 150 pounds.

“The suspect’s description generally matches that of a robber who attempted to rob the Rite Aid Pharmacy
at 5500 N. Division a few weeks ago,” the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said through a release Wednesday morning.
