Roadside Bomb Kills 12 In Northwestern Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) — At least a dozen people are dead after a roadside bomb struck a pickup truck filled with wedding guests in northwestern Pakistan.

Many of the dead were women and children. Six other children were wounded.

The attack happened in a town where security forces have been battling Islamic militants. But police say a family dispute may be to blame for the attack.

It’s the first attack since Pakistan held its parliamentary elections on Monday.
