Rescuers Searching For Man In Spokane River
SPOKANE — Spokane police have arrested a burglary suspect who tried to get away by swimming across the Spokane River.
Spokane Police say the man lead them on a foot pursuit when they responded to a report of a burglary at a home on North Freya. He swam away from a group of officers on the north side of the river, but was arrested by police waiting on the south bank of the river. Police say he will be facing obstruction charges, and their investigation into the burglary is ongoing.
