Record Breaking Gas Prices In Washington
BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) — The AAA auto club says the average price of a gallon of gasoline has reached a record high of more than $3.45 a gallon. It breaks the record set in May of last year.
The AAA survey for Wednesday found the average price rose 40 cents in the past month.
Only California ($3.51) and Hawaii ($3.57) have higher gas prices than Washington.
The national average, according to AAA, is $3.18 a gallon.
The survey for the AAA found the highest prices in Washington at Bellingham, $3.52, and the lowest in Spokane $3.31. The price in the Seattle area is $3.48.
Prices for some other cities: Olympia $3.45, Tri-Cities $3.35, Vancouver $3.44.
