QQ Sushi to reopen Tuesday following staff overhaul, renovations

SPOKANE, Wash.— QQ Sushi will reopen its doors on Tuesday, according to a release from owner Bao Zhang. The restaurant has been closed since Feb.10, following a Facebook post that included videos depicting improper food preparation practices.
Last week, the Spokane Regional Health District conducted an investigation and reviewed food safety and handling techniques.
In a press release, Zhang said he made renovations to the kitchen and brought in an entire new kitchen staff. Additionally, Zhang said he also hired two managers to oversee day-to-day operations.
One of the managers, Brittney Dudycha, has worked at QQ Sushi for two years as a server and has prior managing experience.
“All of us at QQ Sushi are ready to put this behind us and get back to serving the Spokane community with great food,” Dudycha said in a release.
