Presidential Hopefuls At Day 2 Of Clinton Confab
NEW YORK — Both of the top presidential candidates will speak before attendees at the Clinton Global Initiative Thursday in New York.
Participants at the conference are asked to take concrete steps to tackle specific global problems such as climate change and poverty.
John McCain will be there in person to start a conference session this morning and Barack Obama will wrap it up with an address via satellite.
Today’s session focuses on water, food and energy issues.
Clinton’s fourth annual conference began yesterday, and included the likes of former Vice President Al Gore, Bono, Bill Gates and Lance Armstrong. Famous faces like Muhammad Ali could be seen in the audience. It coincides with the General Assembly meeting taking place on the other side of town at the United Nations.
