Post Falls Mother May Face Charges After Baby Nearly Drowned
POST FALLS — The mother of the Post Falls baby who nearly drowned last weekend in a bathtub may face charges.
Police are recommending prosecutors charge 22-year-old Christina Johnson with felony injury to a child. Johnson’s nine-month-old baby boy nearly drowned on Sunday and was released from a Spokane hospital Wednesday.
Johnson told police she was on pain medications and passed out while her son and two-year-old were in the tub.
The children’s father, who was on duty in Iraq, came home early and now has custody of the children.
