Police Rope Off Mobile Home Park After Body Of California Girl Found

TRACY, CA — Police have roped off the mobile home park where an 8-year-old northern California girl was last seen.

The search for Sandra Cantu ended tragically Monday, when her body was found inside a suitcase pulled from a pond a few miles from where she lived in Tracy, California, about 60 miles east of San Francisco.

Investigators haven’t said what prompted the latest searches at the mobile home park or what they have found. No suspects have been identified.

During the 10-day search for the girl, investigators searched several homes at the park and towed away several cars.

Police spoke with the girl’s father last week. He lives in Mexico and works in southern California.
