Police: Man threw rocks at patrol cars, Knitting Factory doors
SPOKANE, Wash. — A man who police say smashed the windows of two patrol cars and the doors of a downtown Spokane concert venue is now in jail.
On the night of Saturday, Aug. 31, several officers had their patrol cars parked outside of the downtown Spokane C.O.P.S. location. The officers came out of the building around 11:00 p.m. to find two of their cars’ windshields had been smashed.
The officers suspected rocks had been thrown at the windows.
Several hours later, at 2:44 a.m., the glass doors of the nearby Knitting Factory concert venue were shattered. Officers reviewed security footage which showed a man throwing a rock right through the doors.
Officers said they recognized the man as 51-year-old Bobby Risenhooven. He wasn’t around anymore, but they knew he tended to stay in the Cheney area.
Spokane police contacted Cheney police, who arrested Risenhooven several days later, on the evening of Tuesday, Sept. 3. Risenhooven was booked into the Spokane County Jail on three counts of malicious mischief.
