Police Looking For Robbers
SPOKANE — Spokane police are searching for pair of robbers who held up three local college students at shotgun point.
It happened late Thursday night near Nora and Astor about four blocks north of the Gonzaga campus.
Two Gonzaga students and a student from Eastern Washington University were walking down Nora when the suspects came up behind them. They ordered the students to get on the ground and then ran off with a purse and two wallets. Gonzaga sent an email to all its students reminding them to be careful and walk in groups. But students question if that’s enough in that neighborhood off campus
“Personally, I’m not surprised. My brother was mugged. You always hear about muggings in this area. Frankly, I don’t know what to tell my friends except carry mace, a taser and travel in big groups. I don’t know,” junior Matt Corcoran said.
One of the robbers was wearing a ski mask. If you know anything about the attack, call Spokane Police.
