Police kill gunman at Seattle bar
Police say an officer killed a man who raised his gun at officers after shooting his ex-girlfriend and a nightclub doorman in Seattle’s Central District.
There were more than two dozen people in the Twilight Exit bar about 10:15 p.m. Sunday when the gunman walked in and confronted his ex-girlfriend. Police say he wounded the 25-year-old and the bouncer when he tried to intervene.
Responding officers confronted the gunman going out a side door. Police say he raised his gun and was shot and fatally wounded by one officer.
Fire department medics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The two victims were taken to Harborview Medical Center. The hospital says the woman is in satisfactory condition and the man is in serious condition, but both should recover.
