Police: bank robber’s note contained apology
MILTON, Wash. — Police in Milton, Washington, say the note that a man handed a Chase Bank branch teller contained an apology but said he was robbing the bank.
KOMO-TV reports that the teller handed over roughly $2,000 on Monday.
Police say the note was written on a folded-up newspaper. Officers say the man stashed the money inside the newspaper and walked away.
Milton is about 25 miles south of Seattle.
