Police Arrest Man For Robbery

SPOKANE — Spokane Police have arrested a man after they say he robbed a North Spokane bank.

Workers at the Bank of America at Division and Wellesley reported a robbery around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. Police say the suspect indicated he had a weapon. He ran away with an undisclosed amount of money, and police began searching the area.

Less than 15 minutes after the initial report, an officer found a suspicious man, without a shirt but matching the suspect’s description on north Nevada Street. The man was taken into custody after he tried to run from police.

Police then brought witnesses to the arrest scene, who were able to identify the man as the suspect in the bank robbery. 23-year-old Kristopher Turner has been booked into the Spokane County Jail and faces First Degree Bank Robbery charges.
