Ronald McDonald House officially opens new expansion

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Ronald McDonald House of the Inland Northwest officially opened a new Spokane location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday.

The building is an expansion of their location just across the street at 1015 W. 5th Avenue.

It took 10 years to find the new location and a few more to design it.

According to the Ronald McDonald House, this new expansion will increase their capacity by 150 percent, equating to 12,140 more nights of lodging every year. The House will have private guest rooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, a movie room, teen room, play areas and 10 long-term guest suites.
