Pedestrian Hit By Car While In Crosswalk
SPOKANE — Traffic was backed up for blocks Friday morning following an accident involving a car and a pedestrian.
Police say the 19-year-old at the wheel was driving south on Fancher Rd. and tried to turn left onto Trent Ave. when she hit a man in the crosswalk.
The man, in his 40’s, was taken to the hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
Both eastbound lanes of Trent and one northbound lane of Fancher were shut down during the investigation.
The driver was ticketed with failure to yield to a pedestrian in a cross walk.
