Parts of the Inland Northwest have been upgraded to a winter storm warning for Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Light snow will develop right around the time your commute is getting underway, with just minor accumulations in the morning.

During the afternoon, the snow rates will increase dramatically. In general, 2″ – 4″ will fall around Spokane and Coeur d’Alene before the evening commute.

That said, snowfall totals should scale back just a hair. Expect 4″ – 6″ in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene.
