Pedestrian killed on Highway 2 near Airway Heights, lanes back open

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A pedestrian was killed on Highway 2 near Airway Heights early Tuesday morning.

The Spokane Police Department responded to the scene and said the victim died at the hospital.

Both lanes of the highway were temporarily cloed, but have since reopened.

Police said the driver has been cooperative and has not been charged at this time.

The victim has not yet been identified.
