Okanogan Co. snow plow tips over, rolls into Salmon Creek

OKANOGAN, Wash. — Snow plows have been hard at work across Eastern Washington, but operations in Okanogan saw a minor delay when a plow rolled over into Salmon Creek.

Sunday morning, a plow truck was clearing the intersection at Salmon Creek Road and Spring Coulee Road, but accidentally backed off the road, rolling sideways into Salmon Creek.

The driver got out safely and without injuries.

Okanogan County Fire District 3, Okanogan County Sheriff’s Department, Emergency Management, Public Works and the Washington State Department of Ecology responded to the incident – the latter to address the diesel that may have gone into the lake.

Two large tow trucks were able to haul the snow plow out of the creek several hours later.
