No Discover Pass needed to visit Washington state parks, lands this weekend

If you want to brave this weekend’s wet weather, you can enjoy Washington state parks and lands for free.
Saturday is National Get Outdoors Day and Sunday is Free Fishing Day, though you can fish without a license all weekend long.
Typically, visits to state parks require a Discover Pass. They cost $10 for a day pass or $30 for a season pass. This weekend, though, you can visit without one.
Washington holds several free state park days throughout the year. The next one is coming up on June 19 for Juneteenth.
The additional free days this year are listed below:
- September 24 – National Public Lands Day
- October 10 – World Mental Health Day
- November 11 – Veterans Day
- November 25 – Native American Heritage Day
