No. 10 Gonzaga dominates against Eastern Oregon, wins 120-42
SPOKANE, Wash. – In the team’s first game after the Christmas holiday, the Gonzaga Bulldogs took care of business against the Eastern Oregon Mountaineers, winning 120-42 Wednesday afternoon in The Kennel. Wednesday’s win is the largest margin of victory in program history (78 points).
The Zags beat the University of Montana 85-75 before going home for Christmas. Drew Timme led the Zags with 32 points, adding 11 rebounds to help the Zags win.

On Wednesday, it was all Zags from the jump. The Zags shot 71% from the field, shooting 50% from behind the three-point arc. The Zags also had 17 steals on the day, the most they’ve had in a game this season.
Timme led all scorers again with 18 points. There were five other Zags outside of Timme who scored 10 or more points (Efton Reid 16, Rasir Bolton 14, Anton Watson 13, Nolan Hickman 13, Julian Strawther with 10 and Malachi Smith with 10). The Zags had over 40 bench points in the game.
Malachi Afework led Eastern Oregon with 11 points. Spokane native and Liberty High School graduate Justin Jeske scored four points in 22 minutes of play.
The Zags begin West Coast Conference (WCC) play on New Year’s Eve against Pepperdine. Tipoff is at 2 p.m. in The Kennel.
