New donation drive-thru opens at Global Neighborhood Thrift
SPOKANE, Wash. — It just got easier to get rid of old clothing and furniture near downtown.
Global Neighborhood Thrift now has a drive-thru option on the corner of Trent and Hamilton.
The drive-thru just opened this July and the thrift store says its gotten more large furniture donations from it.
But you can donate a lot more!
If you drive up, here’s what you can donate:
- Clothing
- Furniture in good condition
- Books
- Electronics
- Household goods
Here’s what you can not donate:
- Wet, soiled or damaged items
- Car seats or baby cribs
- Auto parts
- Building materials, paint/chemicals
- Mattresses or box springs
- “Old style” TVs or computer monitors
- Furniture that’s not in good condition
- Exercise equipment
- Institutional office furniture (large desks, conference tables, filing cabinets, etc.)
The drive-thru is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
Global Neighborhood Thrift is located at 919 E Trent Ave.
The thrift store just acquired the side of the building where the drive-thru is located and is raising money to expand and renovate.
You can take part in the Buy A Block fundraiser! Buy a cinder block and have it personalized with one or more names on it.
It will go onto a wall mural that will be built in the new renovated space.
